Over the years, DCVS has been a premier organization in the field of Counseling, guidance, making people aware of the job opportunities available in the global market, policy research, various opportunities available in public and private sectors in employment/self employment, conducting mass awareness generation programmes nationwide on burning issues like Rain Water Harvesting, Environment, Consumer Awareness, Road Safety, Disaster Management and other various activities of social upliftment & skill development training for better rehabilitation of the people from the down -trodden section of society by organizing Health, Nutrition and Legal Awareness Camps for the unreached, for the last three decades (1989-2020).
Mahila Mangal
About 65 years back,a few women belonging to effluent sections of society came together to form a group. The aim of this group was to provide support to women and children of weaker sections of society so that they become self-reliant and useful citizens of the country. More and more women later joined this group and the group became an organisation called Mahila Mangal i.e. working for the benefit of women. There are about 700 members in Mahila Mangal now.

Bhartiya Navdeep Samiti (BNS) a national level Non Governmental Organization established in 2001 and has been working in different parts of the country both in rural as well as urban areas since its inception. The main focus is to empower the marginalized, underprivileged, downtrodden, neglected and alienated community by building up their own capacity and resources through education and skill development. YWCA of Bombay is a Voluntary Social Service Organization, working for the empowerment of Women and Children. They run balwadis, mahila mandals and community development Programs at various locations in Mumbai. They also conducts various extension classes like tailoring & embroidery, beautician, costume jewelry, mehendi and supervised study centers for under privileged children. Empowering women through self -help groups helps them to resolve community issues and rights. They also run two government recognized courses such as cookery & bakery, confectionery and nursing care. Through these courses we wish to empower the community service users and make them self-sufficient.

With the aim of providing emotional strength and guidance in resolving personal and psychological problems, Arpita Foundation was started in April 2019 by a small group of counsellors who have over a decade of experience in this field. Arpitais now a team of dedicated and trained volunteersand are supported by doctors and mental health experts who are ready to step-in and take-over in case of need and referrals for further assistance.Arpita also runs a helpline and have been attending to calls for various reasons right from failed relationships, academic stress, job stress, addiction, clinical depression and people who have history of suicides in the family. Hence with a clear vision and firm mission, Arpita is aspiring to be the strong force which empowers the distressed person to become and not succumb.
